Here is my first (1999 volcano red short wheel base) and second (2003 blue long wheel base) A Classes together.  I had just bought my second one and not yet sold my first which had just passed 150,000km.

I attended a Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW event a few years ago at a specialist detailing workshop which was intended to show us how to detail our car.  They chose my A Class to volunteer being washed and waxed . . . so here they are washing it for me.

Please post pictures of part of your A Class on this thread which may not be immediately obvious?  The idea is for others to guess what part is in the picture.

My contribution is this photo.  What part of the A Class is this?  I will post the answer after you have made a guess.

This photo shows that I have driven just over 400km on around half a tank of unleaded fuel.  Remember this is an A160, not a diesel (although the scale on the tachometer also gives that away)

Feel free to post some pictures of your pride and joy.  It is not only interesting to see your W168 but also the environment in which it lives.  To start things off I thought I'd post some pictures of the three A Classes I have owned . . . will add to this thread as I find more photos.

The black one is my current A Class.  Here it is at my aunties place in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales (south of Sydney).

Wow! Great license plate. About the voids I did the same.
Difficult to have the original ones here in Brazil, I installed two "almost" identical.

BTW, talking about pictures, I didn't know why the pictures attached to the old threads disappeared.
More work to Roger, as soon he get some spare time (almost never...).

Sergio

ps. Looks like we have this forum only for us  Cry . Let's see if someone step forward to share this space too.

Hi Sergio

Now I'm using Explorer and everything seems fine.

Thought you may like the attached picture of an A Class I saw on the Gold Coast a few weeks ago.  The custom Queensland plate is classic and it appears the owner of this jungle green example has added some white reflectors into the voids on either side of the lower bumper.

Yes, I recall the beginning in 1999 . . . it seems like only yesterday.  I sincerely hope one day we can meet in person to share our common passion for the W168.  There are many others on this forum I would like to meet too.

Matthew, the issue is gone for sure, there was a bad setting in the permissions of the forum.
You know, new code, so we must learn from it a lot.

Sergio

ps. thank you again my friend, you are the foundation of this forum since 1999 when we started the first one after the official one maintained by Mercedes was shut-down, remember? Good times!!

Dear Matthew,

Thank you for these very kind words.
I must be fair passing all merits to the SVC Team, I really did not so much.
BTW, I have yet my first A-Class, now with 87,000 km and 11 years old - like yours, it is running like a Swiss watch, I think that I will never sell it.
Really a great car if used wisely and properly held.

Now that this new forum seems to be running again, I will post soon some additional (and cheap) audio accessories like Chinese Eirising 2 DIN car player (with GPS), a 10" sub-woofer in trunk that did not reduce its space and other fine gadgets.

Sergio
